YourTownSpace is a social network site for towns & town residents. The site has many purposes such as keeping town members informed on town news, helping non-town members review towns, and providing an open forum for town members and non-town members to ask questions and provide information. YourTownSpace has both user and town profiles, however, the town profiles are the primary focus of the site. The user profiles allow town members to create a more personal experience with the site. The town profiles provide town reviews, demographics, open forums known as town billboards, a town album & local favorites such as a restaurant or event.

YourTownSpace is most useful for those looking for an up-to-date 'picture' of their town and those looking to move to a new town. The site allows users to find towns comparable to a selected town or to compare up to three (3) towns based on selected category and demographic questions.

How do I find Neighbors?

There are a few ways to search for your neighbors: -Go to 'Advance Search' located on the menu bar and search by 'username and first/last name.' You can type as much of the information you know and search. -You can go to your town profile page and click 'view all' under the town members section located in the left column between the demographic pie charts and the town photo album. -In the 'Advance Search' option on the menu bar search by 'Town.' Select the state and town and search. On the town profile page view the town members section and search for your neighbors.

How are the demographic answers used and presented?

The demographic answers provided by each individual user are collected to provide a complete demographic analysis for each town as a whole. Demographic answers are not shown on individual user profile pages, and each individual answer is not available on the town profile pages. The town profiles pages display all of the demographic answers for each demographic question without any correlation with a specific individual user.
